As most of our readers know we steer clear of politics but since one of the biggest news stories involves UFC commentator Joe Rogan we will will make an exception.

Joe is the latest target for the toxic Twitter mob that is cancel culture. As an insanely popular podcaster with a sizable following he is the perfect target for them. In recent weeks he has been the villain for various reasons, depending on the day, and the campaign to have him removed from Spotify is desperately trying to gain traction.

A few music artists have removed their music from the platform but aside from the usual Twitter and media mob posturing it has stalled. Joe tried to explain that his job is to interview people and that those people may have information outside of the narratives being pushed through various outlets. It wasn’t enough and per the Twitter playbook – video clips from a decade ago are surfacing. These videos are not about the topics Twitter is overreacting to but rather the out of context usage of the N word.

Joe addresses the video montage/compilations of his usage of the word via his Instagram page. Listen and decide for yourself if what he did was wrong or misunderstood.
