Looks like we have to wait longer for the grudge match between Tyron Woodley and Colby Covington.

Woodley finally returns to the octagon on May 23rd but it’s not against any of the usual suspects meaning that Leon Edwards is probably fuming right now. Edwards was set to dance with Tyron until the coronavirus pandemic stopped the world in its tracks. Then talk of a rematch with welterweight champion Kamaru Usman spun up but quickly died down. No one was sure what Woodley’s future in The Octagon looked like.

The name on the dotted line now says Gilbert Burns.

Burns is no slouch. He is on a 5 fight win streak capped off with an impressive first round finish of Demian Maia. No doubt that is the fight that put Burns on the radar as a potential opponent for the former welterweight champion. What do you think of Gilbert‘s chances?
