Billy Mojo Horne has always been on the verge of greatness. One fight away from the big time and things seem to fall apart just like they did at Hardrock MMA 99 on June 23rd.
Portland Pringle (11-10, #4 in Kentucky) pulled off a unanimous decision over Horne (18-5, #1 in Kentucky) to capture the 195 pound title. Horne’s last fight for the organization was against Michael Cockerham (RIP) at Hardrock MMA 84 back in 2016. Pringle was on a 4 fight losing streak and hadn’t competed since November of last year.
Pringle was the underdog but was having none of it and after three rounds the scorecards were (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
No word on a rematch yet.
