WWE superstar and former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is back in the USADA testing pool according to sources close to the situation. It has been rumored Lesnar was at the UFC offices during International Fight Week talking about a potential return to the octagon when the promotion holds their next event at Madison Square Garden in November.

Lesnar’s one-year suspension due to two failed drug tests following his bout with Mark Hunt in July 2016 was frozen in mid-February of this year when he announced his retirement. So according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lesnar would not be eligible to return to fighting until mid-December at the earliest now that he is coming out of retirement.

With Lesnar back in the USADA testing pool though, it shows he still has some interest in competing in mixed martial arts. Mark Hunt surely won’t be happy about that, but if Lesnar can pass the drug tests, then the 40-year-old “Beast Incarnate” could very well be seen back inside the octagon. At this stage of the game though, do you think Lesnar could still be a contender?
