Alberto Del Rio, known as Alberto El Patron in the GFW promotion, is under investigation by Orlando’s Police Department for an alleged domestic violence battery incident on Sunday July 9th. GFW has just issued the following via Twitter:
Global Force Wrestling has indefinitely suspended Alberto El Patron, effective immediately, until the investigation is resolved following a recent incident in Orlando, Florida.
Alberto is currently dating WWE women’s wrestler Paige, and according to audio and photos that have surfaced, she was involved. Since then, Paige’s family has publicly criticized Patron, but Paige herself claims that the incident was one that was caused by a woman who threw water on El Patron who was dealing with news of a sick uncle. The lady claims that she did not throw water and that Paige was arguing with Alberto who she accused of being on drugs.
El Patron has been quiet since the incident.
