Before Brandon Webb tangles with Arthur Ceesay and tries to bounce back from the first loss of his pro career at Valor Fights 39 on December 2 in Knoxville, LIVE on FloCombat, the hot Hartwell, Ga., prospect spoke with Pro MMA Now.

How were you introduced to MMA to begin with?

I used to wrestle in middle school and high school. In high school, I started taking private lessons with a teammate of mine. I found out he did MMA. I gave it a try and I was hooked.

You fell in love with the sport right away?

Yes, I did.

Why do they call you ‘The Kid?’

They call me that because, first of all, I goof around and act like a kid (laughs), and I’m also the youngest on the fight team at Contemporary Martial Arts in Hartwell, Ga. It just suits me.

How excited are you to turn the page on your last fight, the first loss of your professional career?

Oh dude, I’m so excited. I’m just ready to get in there and knock somebody out. I’ve been training hard to get in there and prove myself.

How will it feel to have your hand raised?

It will feel amazing. All the hard work I’ve put in will have paid off, and I’ll be back in the win column. It will help build my confidence up and get a bit of momentum behind me.
