UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping

UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping dropped the bomb on a Sirius XM radio show Thursday.

I’m announcing it…Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping for the 185-pound middleweight title, October 8 from Manchester, live on pay-per-view. Do not miss it.

Take my money now please! We will note that UFC officials have yet to make an announcement confirming the bout for UFC 204 taking place on Bisping’s home turf. If it is indeed true, the bout will take place in Manchester, England.

At UFC 100 on July 11, 2009, Dan Henderson blasted Bisping with an H-bomb punch that knocked him out cold, zombie style. This time Bisping thinks it will be a different story.

I plan on putting a beating on Henderson that people will never forget in a long, long time. Dan Henderson knocked me out at UFC 100, and when I was unconscious, flew through the air and delivered a forearm smash that could have left me severely brain damaged. I owe that guy, big time.

Henderson was one of the fighters that used the therapeutic TRT, Testosterone Replacement Therapy. The practice has since been banned and fighters who were on it saw their performances suffer greatly for it. We’re looking at you Vitor Belfort.

Bisping may have a point in this next statement.

I think he’s gonna cheat because he’s gonna think, ‘Screw it. If I get suspended, so what, I’m retiring anyway.’

He did admit that despite the use of TRT in their last meeting that Dan is still a threat.

He’s still very, very dangerous. He’s a tough opponent, but make no mistake, I’m going to smash him to bits. The guy never even think about walking into an Octagon ever again.

What did Michael think of Hendo’s chances?

Lightning does not strike twice. It struck once the first time; it will not strike twice.
