Dana White admits he ‘freaked out’ after UFC sale

UFC President was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night to talk about the recent $4 billion sale of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. White said he has signed on to remain President for at least five more years. He also admittedly freaked out a little bit after the sale.

“You know, you get to the point where you…you know, I’m 47, and I’ve been working, we’ve been doing this for almost 20 years,” White stated. “And I don’t know what else I need. I can tell you this, and this is the honest to god truth. When this deal closed, it bugged me out a little bit. I don’t know. When you make that kind of money and my partners, I’ve been with them for more than 20 years. So that’s going to change, I have new partners now. And yeah, I kind of Howard Hughes‘d myself up into a hotel room for a couple of days. I couldn’t eat or sleep, it kind of freaked me out a little bit.”

Two days, no eat or sleep? That might be called a party in Albuquerque by some.

You might freak out too if you just made 9% of $4 billion and signed a new five-year lucrative contract to be able to continue to do what you love to do.

White explained why he supports Donald Trump and why he recently spoke at the Republican National Convention.

And if you still haven’t heard this one, Dana explains how he got started with the UFC many years ago and convinced the Fertitta brothers to buy it for $2 million.
