Shane McMahon opens the show and wants to give the fans some fun but is quickly interrupted by his sister Stephanie. She tells him it’s his last night running Monday Night Raw, and this Sunday at Payback their father Vince will decide who is running Raw. The fans make it clear they’d rather have Shane running things. Shane asks Steph to leave and when she refuses he calls security to escort her out. She slaps one of them and they haul her out.
AJ Styles vs. Sheamus — Styles comes off the top rope with a Phenomenal Forearm that flattens Sheamus for the finish.
New Day’s Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods promo the upcoming tag team tournament but are interrupted by The Vaudevillains. Simon Gotch and Aiden English make their way to the ring but are soon interrupted by Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady.
Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson vs. The Usos — Anderson and Gallows finish Jimmy with a Magic Killer. They bring Jey back in the ring and work them both over but Roman Reigns comes out to help and runs them off. Gallows and Anderson talk with AJ Styles backstage afterward and proclaim their friendship.
We see a montage of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens and the origin of their beef.
Sami Zayn vs. Rusev — Sami rolls Rusev up for the pin. Lana flips out, screams and throws her high heels at Sami afterward. Kevin Owens ambushes Zayn from behind and lays him out.
Apollo Crews tells Stardust how much he respected his father Dusty Rhodes and he’s the one who came up with his name “Apollo”.
Apollo Crews vs. Stardust — Apollo finishes Stardust with a Sit Down Powerbomb.
Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho exchange words in the ring. Jericho wants Ambrose to kiss his boot. It ends up in a huge brawl with Jericho left standing.
Natalya vs. Emma — Nattie finishes Emma with a Sharpshooter.
Baron Corbin is ambushed by Dolph Ziggler as he starts his walkout.
Miz and Cesaro cut a Payback promo with some terrible cliche impressions from movie tough guys like, “Go ahead punk, make my day”. Cesaro lays Miz out and leaves him laying in the ring with his wife tending to him.
Roman Reigns vs. Alberto Del Rio — Roman finishes Alberto with a spear. Anderson and Gallows ambush Reigns after the match. AJ Styles comes out to help but eats a Superman punch from Reigns. Gallows and Anderson eventually make their way out as Styles and Reigns are left battered in the ring.
