joey krebsPro MMA Now (www.prommanow.com) would like to recognize the work of our close friend and longtime site contributor Joey Krebs for his recent work for the Compton Herald, “Oscars so white, Oscars so wrong!”

Krebs has taken the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences to task for their recent snub of people of color at the Oscars for the second year in a row. The “whitewashing” and the systemic racism found in the film industry is something Krebs has been trying to shed light on with his recent coverage of the Foxcatcher film and his efforts on social media.

Krebs has done great work for us here at Pro MMA Now over the years, such as his exclusive coverage of a Ronda Rousey charity event in Glendale, Calif., shooting numerous video interviews, his recent photos at Invicta and so much more.

For the uninitiated, Krebs is also known as The Phantom Street Artist and is an L.A. legend. He did the iconic album cover for Rage Against The Machine’s The Battle of Los Angeles.
