ConorMcgregorIt’s official! UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor will move up to the lightweight division to challenge the champion Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight title at UFC 197 on March 5th. McGregor defeated Jose Aldo in 13 seconds to become the featherweight champion, and talked tons of trash leading up to the fight that many believe affected the performance of Aldo.

McGregor is picking up right where he left off and now has another Brazilian fighter in his scope. McGregor took to his Facebook account to fire the first shot at dos Anjos:

Mr. McGregor would like to thank the fans and the media for their patience in this decision.
Mr. McGregor was still busy counting the take from his last fight.

He has chosen to dedicate this demolition job to the loyal people of Brazil and all the fans around the globe who stay true to their roots and loyal to their land.

Mr. McGregor has said that Rafael is a traitor to his people and vows to “behead the ‘American Gringo’ Rafael Dos Anjos, in the name of La Brasilia!”

Viva la Brasil!

See you all in Las Vegas, March 5th!!!

The King returns!

McGregor knows that Brazilians are prideful and probably hopes to get dos Anjos to fight off emotions to try and capitalize off a mistake. However, the Brazilian has been on an absolute tear since 2014, winning five consecutive fights along with the UFC lightweight title.

Let’s the games begin!
