Sheamus is the new WWE Heavyweight Champion after cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase Sunday night at Survivor Series and snatching the belt from Roman Reigns. You can bet The Big Dog will be looking for payback tonight. What’s next for the Wyatt Family after Kane and Undertaker sent them packing? New Day is set to take on The Usos and Lucha Dragons. What’s next for Paige after losing to Charlotte in their Divas Championship match? It seems doubtful Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae have seen the last of Dolph Ziggler. * HHH and Stephanie McMahon open the show to talk about Roman Reign’s “cheap shot” on him at Survivor Series. HHH then introduces Sheamus, the new HW champ. After Sheamus gloats about his win, Reigns comes out to confront him and wants a rematch tonight. He and HHH get face-to-face. HHH tells him he’ll get his rematch when he decides, and it “sure as hell won’t be tonight”. Rusev then comes out of nowhere with a super kick to the face, then a Brogue Kick from Sheamus. The Authority looks on in approval and HHH announces he’ll get his rematch in three weeks in a TLC match. This ends the opening segment.
* The Dudley Boyz (D-Von, Bubba Ray) vs. Luke Harper, Bray Wyatt (with Braun Strowman, Erick Rowan) — A distraction from Rowan allows Harper to stop Bubba Ray with a big clothesline, and then the pin. Strowman and Rowan come in to help them work over the Dudleys after the match. The segment ends with Bray hitting a Sister Abigail on D-Von.
* Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks (with Tamina, Naomi) — Becky goes for the Disarmer, but outside interference from Naomi and Tamina cause a distraction and this allows Sasha to roll Becky up for the pin.
* Paige cuts a promo backstage about Charlotte and why she lost to her. … Charlotte responds a little later saying she knows it’s not over between them and will be facing her tonight.
* New Day talks about how much they hate country music to the Nashville fans. They also offer an open challenge for the tag team titles. Lucha Dragons and The Usos comes out to accept the challenge. New Day says the open challenge was just a figure of speech. The Usos propose a triple threat match. New Day says the open challenge has been cancelled but they get worked over by Lucha and Usos.
* Mark Henry vs. Neville — Neville finishes Henry with a high kick and a Red Arrow. Henry shakes his hand after the match and tells him he has a promising future.
* The Ascension, Stardust vs. Goldust, Prime Time Players — Titus catches The Ascension coming off the ropes and slams him with a power bomb for the finish.
* Zeb Colter and Alberto Del Rio with a MexAmerica promo. Jack Swagger confronts him but Del Rio backs down. Swagger with a “We the People” salute to end the segment.
* Paige vs. Charlotte — Both Divas are counted out for being out on the floor. Paige erupts, smashes Charlotte into the steel steps then puts her in a PTO on top of the announce table until the referees pull her off.
* Heath Slater wants to show Nashville his musical talents. It’s a funny bit but as he’s about to get going Ryback intervenes. Slater smashes his guitar on him but Ryback doesn’t flinch. Ryback then hits him with a meathook clothesline and a shellshock for the finish.
* Kevin Owens, Tyler Breeze (with Summer Rae) vs. Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose — Ambrose finishes Tyler with a Dirty Deeds.
* Rusev vs. Roman Reigns — Reigns is working over Rusev outside the ring but gets Bullhammered by King Barrett out of nowhere. Back in the ring Reigns takes a chair away from Rusev and lays the Russian out with it, then smashes Sheamus with it as he tries to enter the ring. Show ends with Reigns in the ring calling Sheamus to come on back as he and Rusev make their way backstage.
