koscheck-143 weigh ins

Bellator has signed former UFC welterweight contender Josh Koscheck (17-10). The organization made the announcement Friday night during their Bellator 139 broadcast on Spike.

A contestant on The Ultimate Fighter season 1, Koscheck began his UFC career in 2005 and went 15-10 inside the Octagon, scoring notable wins over the likes of Matt Hughes, Diego Sanchez, Anthony Johnson, Paul Daley and Frank Trigg.

Now 37-years-old Koscheck has lost his last five fights in a row, including knockout losses to Tyron Woodley and Robbie Lawler. He last fought in March when he was submitted by Erick Silva at UFC Fight Night 62.

Koscheck will join the ranks of Bellator’s welterweight division alongside the likes of Michael Page, Douglas Lima, Chris Honeycutt and former rival Paul Daley. No debut opponent or date has yet been named for Koscheck, but he definitely has his sights set on someone.
