Despite a last minute scare, the scheduled UFC 189 main event between featherweight champ Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor will go on as planned. Aldo suffered a rib injury in training and the fear was that it was broken. Turns out it’s just a bruise and the champ will put his title on the line on July 11th in Las Vegas.
Oh and just in case something else happens and Aldo can’t make it after all, it’s been determined that Chad Mendes would face McGregor for an interim belt.
