Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone

Nick Diaz has a bad history of shirking his UFC duties outside the Octagon. He missed his flight to Vegas this week and missed the open workouts on Wednesday. Remember that time he no-showed the UFC 137 press conference and it cost him a title shot against Georges St-Pierre? Eventually Diaz got his shot at GSP at UFC 158 but he no-showed those open workouts as well. Maybe the guy has a problem with panic attacks. And there’s no real guarantee at this point that he’ll even show up to fight Anderson Silva on Saturday. But just in case the UFC needs someone to step in against “The Spider” on super late notice, none other than Dana White’s go-to guy, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, has volunteered his ass-kicking services. Does it matter Cowboy fights at lightweight and this fight is at middleweight? No problemo. It also doesn’t seem to matter that Cowboy is currently in Florida traveling in his RV… he said he’d drive straight cross-country to the UFC 183 weigh-ins.

And you know he would do it.

How confident are you Nick Diaz will make it to the UFC 183 weigh-ins on Friday and then to the Octagon on Saturday? I’d say it’s about a 80/20 chance at this point.
