UFC officials have announced that rising contender Henry Cejudo will return to action as a flyweight to take on former title contender Chris Cariaso at UFC 185 in Dallas, Texas. The event will take place on March 14 at the American Airlines Center. The event will be headlined by the UFC lightweight title fight between champion Anthony Pettis and challenger Rafael dos Anjos.
Cejudo (7-0) is coming off a unanimous decision win in his UFC debut against Dustin Kimura. Cejudo, a gold medalist Olympic wrestler returned to bantamweight after a myriad of problems of trying to make flyweight is very close to a title shot with a win over Cariaso in a thin division.
Cariaso (17-6) is coming off a second round submission loss to champion Demetrious Johnson in his last outing. Cariaso had won three consecutive bouts going into the bout against Johnson and has a UFC record of (7-3).
