Tim Kennedy

Submission Radio took to the airwaves with one of the consistently funny guests of all time – Mr. Tim Kennedy.

The UFC middleweight has teased a drop to welterweight because of his height disadvantage at 185 to most opponents, but in this particular interview, Kennedy makes it clear that it’s verbally go time on Vitor Belfort via one of the most unique commentaries on the perennial PED test taker and his chances in his upcoming bout with Chris Weidman.

“I hope (Belfort) passes. We’ve seen pictures of him of late, whether he’s a little fatter than we’ve seen him ever, or he’s a little skinnier than we’ve ever seen him. Well guess what, steroids work and that’s what happens to a body when you don’t get to use what you’ve been using. So one of two things are going to happen: He’s going to fail a steroids test moving toward this fight against Chris Weidman, or he’s going to try to be clean and he’s going to get injured, or he’s going to look like a gay giraffe. Either one of those instances, Chris Weidman will freight train him, or he won’t show because he failed the test.”

It seems everyone has Belfort’s TRT usage in their sights. Kennedy’s Strikeforce rival Luke Rockhold is a huge Vitor detractor and believes the former UFC light heavyweight champion’s testosterone usage played a big part in his loss as well as Dan Henderson and Michael Bisping’s.

Belfort, reportedly a TRT free version of him will finally face the man who twice vanquished the greatest UFC champion of all time to claim Anderson Silva’s middleweight title in his next fight. Weidman doesn’t believe Belfort will make the fight, though. At least that’s what the current 185 pound king said at the UFC media day that occurred recently.

I’m worried about whether he’s going to get drug tested, then when I found out he did, I’m crapping my pants the past two weeks, hoping he’s still fighting me.

That’s the guy I want to fight. That’s the fight we’ve been talking about for a year now. That’s the fight I want. I’ll be disgusted if something happens.

The fight between Weidman and Belfort takes place at UFC 184 in Los Angeles on February 28, 2015.
