Igor Svirid (10-1) took home ONE FC’s inaugural middleweight championship today in Singapore as he stopped previously unbeaten Leandro Ataides (8-1) with punches just 17-seconds into the opening frame.

“ONE FC 22: Battle of Lions” was held at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang and streamed live on www.onefc.com for $9.99.

Also, making his ONE FC debut, ATT powerhouse Luis “Sapo” Santos (61-9-1) destroyed one Bakhtiyar Abbasov (12-4) with a flying knee just 53-seconds into their bout. Santos has stopped his last seven opponents — six in the first round. Look for the 34-year-old Brazilian to give ONE FC welterweight champ Ben Askren a run for his title in the very near future. “Sapo” called Askren out after the fight.
