Title: Harbinger of Death

PRO TIP #1

First off, I own with so small a number of deaths because I am smart about strategy.

I don’t do game screenshots because you can easily doctor those!

Only 1 or none of the deaths in these photos were from other player kills. I will explain in tip #2. These are just 3 examples of the diverse games I experience.

28-2 – 5215 pts of ownage, MAP: Helodeck

ownage1

19-2 – 2930 pts, MAP: Deadlock

ownage2

17-4 – 3013 points, MAP:Heavy Metal

ownage3

You either make yourself lightning fast or heavily armored to start. Overmatch heavy armor is key and so is a helmet that lets you HRV scan more often. If you want to be as successful as me you need heavy armor and an HRV that has a recharge rate faster than 8.0.

Wait a minute before you start losing your mind those of you who value speed over all other attributes.

Here’s the deal, play with one armor set extreme, heavy for durability, or light for speed – THEN about the 3rd game in when everyone is pissed off enough at you to change their styles or weapons to try and counter you- change yours to the opposite. When they charge you with the mindset of you being extremely slow, or fast, and you do the opposite – it is something they are not prepared for and it is going to be a slaughter.

Change it up. Once someone figures you out and gets your number it’s best to switch it up so you don’t get as mad as the other team. Revenge killers are the easiest targets, remember the last post?

PRO TIP #2

The deaths in those screenshots did not give the enemies any points. That is the main goal! So the guys who are 13-13 and placed first on the losing teams basically should not have played at all. They had the highest points, but gave us 13 deaths, washing out his kill numbers. You cannot win when your top players are 17-11, 15-12, or 13-13. It’s why I play the way I play and only give up maybe 4 a game at worst. 8-2 is better then 12-8.

Those 4 deaths of mine, let’s talk about them.

Best sniping, or camping tips for Team Deathmatch:

1) Find a spot in a place where you are trapped, trust me and read on. On the Piledriver map for example you can pull off the tips I am about to list really well.

piledriver

2) In the top left corner you will see a depot. It is next to a helicopter crash. On the top right end of the helicopter the tail is broken and there is a little archway. Camp there.

3)Shoot as many opposing team members as possible, taunt them.

4) Wait for them to rush the spot to revenge kill you, and promptly blow yourself up when they get close. They just wasted all of that time racing back for revenge only for you to die just before they round the end of the chopper.

5) You have just drawn them all of the way across the map in to a the trapped area.

6) Now your team has them trapped and will pick them off easily. They don’t even have to be aware of what you have done it will just happen. I have turned games around just like that.

It sounds difficult and maybe not worth your time, but it will change the game for sure in your favor.

Now, on to the noobs of the week.

NOOBS OF THE WEEK!

This week’s noobs are especially noobish. These are the guys who cower in groups and pot shot you, taunting until you get them one on one, and own them. They will chase you across the board, get owned, and repeat until you get shot by them from behind. They will then taunt 100 times and leave the game out of fear of retribution. They may also kill you from a group and then spend the rest of the game running and hiding. Trust me, I am used to this by now since I am on the leader boards every game and usually the team warlord.

#1. Nasty3424

This noob got owned a dozen times by myself and then started hiding in the back of groups picking me off after I killed the others at that location. He managed to kill me twice in that way on Heavy Metal, a map where it can take minutes to cross if you run in to resistance. The next map was decay and he left the game immediately after seeing that he would have to run the whole game if he didn’t want me to kill him at some point. Decay is a small map with very tight areas, and along with the Metro and Helodeck maps this is the one noobs will leave most often.

#2.Smags8

I killed 5 people and Smags shot me from behind at a distance. I then watched him race across the maps from me and hide for the rest of the game. Once it became clear he couldn’t hide forever because I was crushing his team, he left the game promptly when he got hit by my bullets and realized he was alone. It was hilarious to watch. I had my friends over hanging out, and even my daughter was laughing with them. It was funny, mainly because you could see him sprinting frantically in my HRV. A little orange infrared signature scurrying away. Poor guy.

3. The_Pezzetti

This guy was team warlord for like 3 minutes in the beginning of the game until action started to pick up. he shot me from behind twice and taunted me. I then proceeded to hunt him down for 3 minutes until he died enough times where I knew he learned his lesson about being a troll. It was 8-2 and he never taunted anyone in the game again.

4. Ameribest

A revenge killer who tried so hard to avenge his deaths to me that it became comical. He was team warlord, but, by the time he was done chasing me he was in 6th. Noobs never learn.

Stay tuned for the next post coming soon. More tips, more noobs, same old story!
