Amir Khan
Floyd Mayweather Jr. extended his legacy with another win Saturday night. The fight was pretty bland minus the alleged biting incident and Marcos Maidana knocking Floyd down causing him to lose a point. It wasn’t the best Floyd Mayweather we’ve seen but it was the one we have grown accustomed to these days.

Mayweather is eyeing a return in May and there is one man who wants that spot. Amir Khan.

Khan was in Las Vegas for Mayweather-Maidana 2 and following Mayweather’s win he made it clear that he thought a fight with is one that he can win.

“I’m hitting my peak while Floyd is past his peak. Hell maybe age is showing now. What I saw of Floyd today, he’s very beatable. I would really give him a lot of problems It would be like a game of chess but I know that I would win that game of chess against him ”

Before a fight with Mayweather can take place, Khan has a December date lined up with an opponent that has yet to be announced. Khan won his only bout this year back in May by decision after 12 rounds with Luis Collazo. He’s won three in a row after dropping back to back fights to Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson.

If Khan is to meet Mayweather in 2015 it would have to take place in May. Floyd has been pretty set on fighting in September but Khan will be be observing Ramadan then.

Following the fight against Maidana, Floyd responded to questions about a possible match up with Khan. It started out respectful but Floyd got his verbal jabs in.
