Stephanie McMahon WWE

Let’s face it. This is the age of ignorance, or “Ignorance era” when it comes to WWE programming. Last night the geniuses in WWE creative decided that instead of what the fans want to see they would give us what they thought we needed to see. They have 3 hours of programming and they still can’t provide us with more than 30 minutes of actual substance.

The WWE is flooding our TV with junk because they have painted themselves in to a corner. They have literally stalled, or declined in reality when it comes to ratings. They have shareholders who they have to please and two blithering idiots in charge aka HHH and Stephanie McMahon. They cannot risk making a big change for fear of losing viewership and having to answer to said stockholders. The last time they made any change of substance was when they had to. It was when WCW was blasting them out of the sky in the ratings war. Vince made the decision to take a risk and we had the best quality wrestling programming of any time in history. Now it’s just sad. We get things rammed down our throats.

I’m going to prove it to you.

The opening of RAW was Bray Wyatt vs. Chris Jericho in an epic steel cage match. Then, apparently the WWE needed to force feed us the same garbage. Here’s what’s happening in my opinion. We want guys like Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, and Heath Slater. They think we need Roman Reigns, Sheamus, John Cena, and Randy Orton. They do not listen to anything the fans want and the only reason CM Punk or Daniel Bryan ever got a chance was because the fans hijacked RAW on a regular basis with chants for them both. They do not care about who we like and when they listen they book them poorly and bury them so, you guessed it, we are left with who they want. Sheamus is not a main eventer, NO ONE wants to see another Randy Orton title run, and we are all in agreement that Reigns does not to be in the main events yet.

NXT is better than the WWE because they focus on wrestling whereas RAW simply serves to promote Total Divas and merchandise. They are no longer a sports entertainment company. Quote me, “They want to be like MTV programming”. Wrestling TV without the wrestling. It’s shameful and completely idiotic. They are trading in the legacy of WWE for merchandising and movies. They still use marketing terminology on TV essentially throwing the fact that we are too stupid to know what we want to see, and too dumb to know that the show is no longer about wrestling. We get a bloated and boring Bella Twins segment to promote Total Divas, but during wrestling matches we get the worst commentating in pro wrestling, then segway to commercials.

The WWE does not have a clue what they are doing. HHH and Stephanie decided that the authority needed to be the stars. Themselves. In the limelight.

The WWE will continue to pump out a half assed product because they can get by with it. I don’t watch it anymore unless I skip to the wrestling parts on Hulu. Unless another competitor rises, the WWE is going to fall from grace hard.

Did you know the WWE Network is $9.99? It also is an epic failure.

  1. Nice article. It’s sad because I feel like the only real way fans can get what they want is if we all stop watching and attending for a period of time, like a protest. Otherwise fans will watch until they literally can’t handle anymore, then no matter what WWE does there might be no coming back. Itll be sad to see WWE go because they have been around since my childhood but you know what, plenty of childhood things have gone away. Then again some childhood things have come back in a reboot, batman, ninja turtles, etc. But that’s asking WWE to do the thing they fear most, change. So sad.
