UFC officials have confirmed that light heavyweight’s Ryan Bader and Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante will do battle at UFC 174 which is set to take place on June 14 at Rogers Arena in Canada.
The event will be headlined by the UFC flweight championship bout between champion Demetrious Johnson and challenger Ali Bagautinov. The co-main event will feature a likely number one contender’s match between welterweights Rory MacDonald and Tyron Woodley.
Bader (16-4) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Anthony Perosh in his last outing at UFC Fight Night 33. It was a nice rebound win over getting knocked out by current number one contender Glover Teixeira. The TUF 8 winner is (9-4) in his UFC career thus far.
Cavalcante (12-4, 1NC) is coming off a submission win over Igor Pokrajac in his last outing at UFC Fight Night 32. The former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion rebounded nicely with the win over Pokrajac after getting knocked out in his UFC debut against Thiago Silva in a fight that was deemed “Fight of the Night”.
