In this day and age it is not uncommon for wrestlers to take days off. Their in ring schedules are often hectic and sometimes grinding. With CM Punk making his exit from the company it was no surprise who followed. It was reported earlier this year that he and girlfriend AJ Lee got engaged. Lee was the Divas champion for a very long time and carried the responsibilities for appearances, longer matches, and everything that goes along with being the champion. The word making the rounds is that AJ Lee has asked for time off from the WWE roster. There is no word how long she will be gone. As we noted in the Elite section, Lee and CM Punk were recently engaged so our best to the happy couple.
AJ is one of their best wrestlers and this would explain why they allowed NXT developmental standout Paige make the jump to the main roster and become champion.
