UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson

UFC officials have announced that UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will return to action at UFC 174 to defend his crown against Ali Bagautinov. The event will take place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Saturday, June 14.

The co-main event will feature a welterweight fight between top welterweights Tyron Woodley and Rory MacDonald.

Johnson (19-2-1) defended his flyweight title for the third time in his last outing, a highlight reel first round KO win over Joseph Benavidez. Johnson has won “Knockout of the Night, “Fight of the Night”, and “Submission of the Night” in his last three outings.

Bagautinov (13-2) defeated John Lineker via unanimous decision in his last outing at UFC 169. Bagautinov has won all three of his UFC fights after debuting in September 2013.
