UFC officials have announced that a featherweight showdown between Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens will headline the UFC Fight Night 43 event set for June 28. The event will take place at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Swanson (20-5) is coming off a TKO win over Dennis Siver at UFC 162 in July 2013. He is riding a five fight winning streak while finishing four of those opponents via TKO/KO.
Stephens (23-9) is coming off unanimous decision win over Darren Elkins at the UFC on FOX 10 event in January 2014. He has won three consecutive fights since dropping down to the featherweight division after losing his last three as a lightweight.
This fight will more than likely have title implications as both fighters are exciting and near the top of the featherweight division.
