That’s the New York Bad Ass. Phil Baroni made the announcement via Instagram on Thursday. The 37-year-old Pride and UFC veteran is set to make his Bellator debut against Jesus Martinez (8-5) May 2 in Atlantic City as part of the Spike TV televised main card.

Baroni (15-17) is coming off back-to-back losses, most recently dropping a TKO due to broken ankle against Nobutatsu Suzuki in May of last year. Prior to the dual losses, the New York Badass stopped Rodrigo Ribeiro via punches and soccer kicks at ONE FC in August 2012.

With having only won two of his last nine fights, can Baroni possibly turn things around at this point or would you like to see him hang it up for good?
