UFC officials have announced that the original ultimate fighter winner Diego Sanchez will return to action when he faces TUF alum Myles Jury at UFC 171 on March 15. The event will be headlined by the UFC welterweight title fight between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler.
Sanchez (24-6) is coming off a “Fight of the Night” performance in a loss to Gilbert Melendez in his last outing at UFC 166. Sanchez has won Fight of the Night honors in four of his last five fights.
Jury (13-0) is coming off a split decision win over Mike Ricci in his last outing at UFC 165. Jury is (4-0) in the UFC since appearing on The Ultimate Fighter reality show, and will look to earn the biggest win of his young career against a crowd favorite in Sanchez.
The UFC 171 event will take place at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.
