There had to be some pressure for lightweight contender Tom Gallicchio after barely missing weight. If he lost his contract was probably gone. He weathered a tough first round from Kurt Southern and was able to submit “The Hurt” in the second round.
Anthony Hamilton returned to defend his title. This time he went all five round en route to a unanimous decision victory. How about Marcus Edwards. Took the fight on short notice and out grappled the grappler to notch another big win.
The MFC returns to AXS TV on May 9th and we know for sure there will be a rematch between Southern and Gallicchio. Look for stars such as Anthony Birchak and more to be on the card.
