When Bellator cleared out it’s women’s division World Series of Fighting took that opportunity to sign the number one ranked strawweight Jessica Aguilar. With that out of the way, Aguilar returns to action at WSOF 8 in Florida to face Alida Gray for the strawweight championship.

Aguilar has been dominant in her weight class for years. She sits at 16-4 with  and has only lost once in her last 12 outings. She most recently defeted Megumi Fujii earlier this year. She has been a staple at American Top Team and trains with fellow strawweight rising star Tecia Torres.

Alida Gray only brings four professional fights to the table but she has been flawless thus far. She made her professional debut earlier this year defeated Patricia Vidonic. All four of her wins have come by stoppage with three (T)KO’s and one submission.

A lightweight title fight between Justin Gaethje and Lewis Gonzalez headline this event that takes place at Seminole Hardrock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fl on January 18th. Here is a look at the fight card as it stands.
