That pesky injury bug has infected UFC on FOX 9 once again as both Jamie Varner and Kelvin Gastelum have been forced to withdraw from their respective fights with injury.

Varner announced that he has a torn rotator cuff that will keep him out of action for a few weeks. He was scheduled to fight Pat Healy in Sacremento but as of now it is unknown if Healy will get an opponent.

In other injury news, the bout between Court McGee and Kelvin Gastelum has been scratches as well. Gastelum tore his PCL and will be sidelined for several weeks. He will not require surgery but the fate of Court McGee is much the same as Pat Healy at the moment as no opponent has been found.

These injuries go along with that of UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis as his bout with Josh Thomson has been postponed as he recovers.
