Dana White took to FOX Sports 1 last night to drop some news. On FOX Sports Live the UFC boss revealed that Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen would be coaches on the third installment of The Ultimate Fighter : Brazil.
The rivalry and distaste in one another has been building for some time. Sonnen and Silva were on track to meet at UFC 167 but that bout was scrapped after Silva couldn’t come to terms on pay-per-view revenue. The two will finally meet after the conclusion of the season as is customary now with coaches on TUF.
Wanderlei confronted Chael in Las Vegas just a few weeks ago with his film crew in tow. He has posted videos calling out Sonnen stating that Chael was fearful of him. Sonnen responded with some comical tweets but told ProMMAnow that at the time it was a serious affair. “When you come up to me in public and you bring three friends with you waving your finger and cursing at me, you just started a fight.”
Tryouts are scheduled for November 11th in Rio de Janeiro as middleweights, light heavyweights and heavyweights are welcome to tryout.
