The UFC has announced that flyweights John Moraga (13-2) will meet Darren Uyenoyama (8-4) as part of UFC on FOX 9 in Sacremento. Moraga is one fight removed from his challenge of current flyweight king Demetrious Johnson that saw his winning streak snapped as the champ submitted him. He started his UFC career with back to back wins and looks to try to climb the ladder back to a championship run.
Darren Uyenoyama is coming off a loss to the Joseph Benevidez but before that had won three in a row inside the Octagon. The 33 year old Uyenoyama will look to get back on the winning track and a victory over a former number one contender should help him find a better spot in the pecking order of the flyweights.
UFC on FOX 9 takes place December 14th at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California and is headlined by Anthony Pettis in his first title defense against Josh Thomson.
