Former UFC middleweight title contender Chael Sonnen shocked the MMA world with a first round submission win over former UFC champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. Sonnen immediately shot for the takedown and took Rua to the mat to land some solid ground and pound work. However, Sonnen latched onto a guillotine as Rua was looking to get back to his feet and pulled guard with it forcing Rua to tap for just the third submission loss of his career.
