[ads1]rampage-jacksonA lot of people felt as though they had been “punked” when it was announced that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson would be fighting Tito Ortiz inside the Bellator cage instead of Roy Jones Jr. However, Rampage tells MMA H.E.A.T.’s Karyn Bryant on a recent conference call that his original intentions were to fight Jones until Tito signed with Bellator:

“Honestly, I think Tito f*cked up that fight. The whole time I was getting ready to prepare for Jones. I was going to get down to 200 pounds. I was already setting up a boxing camp and everything, and when Tito signed to Bellator I go damn there goes my Roy Jones fight. But I think the Jones fight will come around eventually after Tito and I fight if everything goes according to plan. I’m sure that’s a fight that will happen because Jones is very interested in fighting me.”

There was also some question of Rampage and Tito either competing against one another in TNA Impact (pro wrestling) or performing as a tag team. Tito jokingly says it wouldn’t be the first time they worked as a “tag team”. Then Rampage…. well, makes his boss squirm just a bit.
