Heavyweights Roy Nelson and Daniel Cormier are officially set to square off in the co-main event of October’s UFC 166 card in Houston. After a serious of back and forth Twitter exchanges, and much speculation that their paths would inevitably cross on Cormier’s journey closer heavyweight title contention, the fight is officially in the books.

The match up is huge for the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix champion Cormier, who is still undefeated in all contests and is considered among the top prospects to enter the UFC following Zuffa’s acquisition of Strikeforce. While Nelson is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Stipe Miocic, ‘Big Country’ is still very much in the mix in the upper echelon of the heavyweight division.

UFC 166 is set to take place on October 19th at Houston’s Toyota Center and will feature the third meeting between Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos for the UFC Heavyweight Championship.
