UFC Fight Night 26 will feature a headline bout between Chael Sonnen and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, who will engage in a light heavyweight battle. Most of the card will air on FOX Sports 1 with a section of the prelims set to air on Facebook.

John Howard is currently riding a two fight winning streak, most recently defeating Chris Woodall via first round KO at “CES MMA – New Blood” in June. Prior to that he scored first round KO victory over Jason Louck at “CES MMA – Path to Destruction” in April. “Doomsday” will no doubt look to extend his winning streak to three with a good performance against Hall.

Meanwhile, Hall last fought at Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale in April, where he dropped a split decision loss against Kelvin Gastelum. Prior to competing on the reality TV show Uriah Hall had been on a three fight winning streak, defeating notable fighters such as Aung La Nsang, Daniel Akinyemi and Nodar Kuduxashvili during 2011/2012. Uriah now has the chance to bounce back into the win column by defeating Howard on August 17th.
