[ads2]The UFC is gearing for a tremendous run of events during the second half of the year with their UFC on FOX Sports 1 debut set for August 17.
They’ll have their second event on August 28, and their third event will take place on September 4. That UFC on FOX Sports 1 #3 card is starting to take shape nicely, and fights have been announced for it in the past few days.
The event will be headlined by the light heavyweight bout between rising contender Glover Teixeira and TUF 8 winner Ryan Bader.
Teixeira (21-2) is coming off a first round destruction of James Te Huna in his last outing at UFC 160. He has won four consecutive fights, including a unanimous decision win over former champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in January.
Bader (14-3) is also coming off a quick first round win over Vladimir Matyushenko in his last outing at the UFC on FOX 6 event in January. Bader has won three of his last four and also has a unanimous decision win over Jackson during that time span.
