A huge weekend is on tap in our world and tonight we look to break down just a portion of it. The fun kicks off Friday night with XFC 24 from Tampa, Florida as Scott Holtzman looks to take the XFC lightweight championship but standing in his way is a former champ and grizzled veteran of the sport in John Mahlow. A huge card is on tap from the USF Sundome. Saturday night we travel to Florence, KY for a stacked card at Turf Wars 12. Eugene Perrin puts his undefeated pro record on the line against fellow unbeaten Robert White.
First tonight we have the head man of the American Grappling Challenge, Dustin Ware. Dustin joins us to discuss the upcoming AGC event that takes place on July 13th at Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School in Lexington. There will be $1,200 in cash prizes as well as bragging rights on the line. Dustin also heads up the successful Ohio Combat Sports Academy. Ware kicks things off on a packed show.
It is always good to talk to the boss and tonight John Prisco returns to the program. Prisco has a nasty line up for Friday’s event and has even bigger plans for the future. We will break down the card and look ahead to what is in store for the rest of the year for the XFC.
Making his Bellator return, Reed Academy star Justin McNally checks in as he prepares for his upcoming fight. McNally takes on Steven Artoff next week as Bellator returns to the airwaves from Thackerville, OK. A new dad, a new pro and from what we can tell a new career has McNally as busy as ever. How does he deal with all of it? We will find out tonight.
Former XFC lightweight champ and headliner Friday night, John Mahlow will talk to us about his career in the sport which began over a decade ago. He faces Scott Holtzman for a chance to get back a belt that was once his. Mahlow of course replaces Nick Newell in the main event and we will see what he has in store for the fans in Tampa.
To close out we talk to Chad Livingston and Kevin Forant. Both men have big fights Friday night with something to prove. Livingston takes on John Cofer and with a win immediately gains credibility in his young career. For Forant, a win over Eric Reynolds could mean a match up with the eventual lightweight champ. We talk shop with these men to close things out.
