A new bout has been added to the Cage Warriors 55 card as Chris Fields (10-5) faces Norman Paraisy (11-3-1) in a middleweight battle. The event is set to take place at The Helix in Dublin, Ireland, on June 1.

Cage Warriors Fighting Championship (CWFC) officials recently announced the new matchup.

The organization also confirmed another middleweight contest for the Cage Warriors 55 main card, with Dublin-based Nigerian fighter Henry Fadipe set to take on Mike Ling.

Cage Warriors 55 will feature a headline bout between current CWFC welterweight champion Cathal Pendred and former UFC fighter Che Mills. The main card will air on MMAJunkie.com/CageWarriors.com with the prelims expected to air on Facebook.

Former CWFC middleweight champion Chris Fields last fought at Cage Warriors 51 in December 2012, where he dropped a second round submission loss against Jesse Taylor and subsequently relinquished the title. Prior to that he scored a third round TKO victory over Pavel Kusch at CWFC – Fight Night 7 in September 2012. Fields now has the chance to bounce back from his last fight with a big win over Paraisy.

“I’m in a great place in my training and I’m looking forward to showing off some new skills, as well as some old ones. There will be a shin hitting a chin by the time this one is done.” – Chris Fields.

Frenchman, Norman Paraisy, last fought at Bellator 89 in February, where he dropped a unanimous decision loss against Brett Cooper. Prior to that he suffered another unanimous decision loss against Maiquel Jose Falcao Goncalves at Bellator 61 in March 2012. Paraisy’s most recent victory was against Jack Mason at Cage Warriors 43 in July 2011, where he won via third round TKO. Paraisy will no doubt look to get back on the winning track with a good performance against Fields on June 1.

“I’m very happy to be back at Cage Warriors, fighting against such a good opponent and former champion in front of an amazing crowd that is world famous for its passion and enthusiasm.” – Norman Paraisy.
