Jon Jones: ‘Chael Sonnen’s done steroids throughout his whole career’

During his appearance on UFC Tonight on Fuel TV on Tuesday, UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones was asked about a recent statement he made about Chael Sonnen saying he lacked a “championship soul”. Jones clarified what he meant:

“Well, Chael Sonnen is a guy people know he’s done steroids throughout his whole career and probably the reason his testosterone is low now and I don’t think that is the heart or attitude of a champion. So that’s what I meant when I said he lacks championship soul.”

Sonnen will get the chance to prove he has a championship soul when he gets a shot at Jones’ title in the UFC 159 headliner April 27 in New Jersey. Check out the complete interview with Jones below.

Jones doesn’t seem to be buying into any of Sonnen’s pre-fight trash talk, calling it “foolishness”. What about you, do you think Sonnen’s schtick is up and are his days of being able to sell a fight with trash talk over? Do you at least still find him entertaining?
