Is it Sunday already? Yes it is and it means that Pro MMA Now Radio is back with another episode to quench your MMA thirst. Tonight we welcome MFC 37 main event fighters Smealinho “The Prince” Rama (6-0) and Chris “Beast Boy” Barnett (7-1) to the program.
Smealinho Rama is considered the top heavyweight in Canada. As a professional he has finished all of his fights in the first round. He will get the opportunity to taste MFC gold when he returns to the ring. The only thing between him and the vacant championship is Chris Barnett.
It was announced earlier this year that Barnett had signed a four fight deal with the MFC. He starts his tenure off in style when he meets Rama. Barnett hasn’t fought in nearly 2 years. Will the layoff be something that weighs on his mind. We get the scoop tonight.
Returning to the program is UFC bantamweight knockout artist Francisco Rivera. Rivera was scheduled to return to the cage at UFC on Fox 7. However an injury has sidelined him from that fight. We catch up with ‘Cisco and talk about the injury and how long it will be before we see him back in action.
To close out we will recap TUF 17 finale and look forward to XFC 23 and UFC on Fox that are on tap this week.
