Georges St. Pierre UFC 158[ads2]
Carlos Condit has a unique perspective on the potential Georges St-Pierre vs. Johny Hendricks match-up. After all, he fought St-Pierre this past November at UFC 154, then fought Hendricks four months later at UFC 158.

Condit wouldn’t share his opinion on who he thought would win between St-Pierre and Hendricks at the UFC 158 post-fight press conference, but on Friday’s episode of Inside MMA on AXStv, the No. 2 ranked UFC welterweight got off the fence:

“I’m gonna have to go with Georges St-Pierre. Georges St-Pierre, he’s just a more polished fighter. Johny Hendricks, he’s dangerous and he’s got good skills, but he is a little rough around the edges when it comes to his whole game. I mean Georges is just such a technician. He puts things together so well and is just a sharp clean fighter and I think that’s probably going to make the difference in that match-up.”

Rough around the edges or not, Hendricks puts guys to sleep; something GSP hasn’t done in years. Will St-Pierre’s “polished” style allow him to survive five rounds with the heavy hands of “Big Rigg”?

It’s hard to imagine a way St-Pierre can stop Hendricks, which means he will have to out-wrestle and out-point him for 25-minutes. The oddsmakers do have GSP as the favorite at the moment (-240 GSP vs +190 Hendricks). Do you agree or do you think Hendricks can connect with the big left hand and stop the reign of the UFC welterweight king?

Find out why Hendricks might not even be GSP’s next fight.
