UFC on FUEL TV 7 takes place this evening at the Wembley Arena in London, England. The event will feature a headline bout between current UFC interim bantamweight champion Renan Barao and title challenger Michael McDonald.
Also, in the co-main event Cub Swanson faces Dustin Poirier in a featherweight matchup.

Round 1 – Castillo shoots in, Sass jumps guard but gets slammed. Sass goes for a leg, Castillo stacks him with punches then lays inside full guard. Sass goes for an arm, Castillo picks him up for a slam, lands some punches and Sass lets go the arm. Castillo moves to half guard. Sass recovers full guard. Sass goes for a leg, scramble, Castillo prevents the sweep and puts Sass on his back in half guard. Sass trying to get up but eats a punch or two. Full guard, Castillo stands over Sass with punches. Sass goes for the leg again, Castillo spins out, lays back inside guard and dropping elbows. Sass goes for the leg again. Has a heel hook but Castillo escapes again, lands several hammerfists. Leg kick from Etim. Switch front kick from Forte to the body, throws some punch combos, lands a left. Leg kick from Etim. Forte comes in swinging, Etim grabs a Thai plum. Body lock from Forte, knee to body. Some standup wrestling against the cage now, Forte pressing on him. Etim with wrist control preventing the takedown. Knee to thigh. Two minutes to go. Ref wants action. Knee to thigh, elbow from Forte. Front high kick from Forte. High kick from Etim. Jab, leg kick. Clinch against the cage, knee from Forte to the thigh. One minute to go. Knee to thigh from the Brazilian, again. Big elbow on the break from Forte. One two punch from Etim. Spinning kick from Etim, Forte times it perfect for a takedown but Etim pops right up, Forte presses him to the cage looking for the trip. PMN has it 10-9 Etim, but very close.
Round 2 – Jab jab from Etim. Big leg kick. Left hook. Thai plum and knees from Etim as Forte lands punches. Forte presses him to the cage. Forte looking for the trip, locking up Etim’s leg with his left leg. Forte hanging on the body lock, knee from Forte as Etim breaks free. High kick from Etim, misses a spinning kick. Forte unleashes a big punch combo that hurts Etim, he’s staggered. Forte drops him with one more shot. Forte lays on top in half guard as Etim tries to tie him up. Great explosion from Forte to take control of this round. Forte rains down some big punches as Etim tries to cover up, he tries to tie Forte up, eats some elbows. Forte looking to pass guard as Etim holds on. Round 3 – Couple big left hands from Forte as he backs Etim up to the cage. They clinch up and Forte lands a big right elbow. They wrestle against the cage before the ref separates them. Big shot from Forte, they exchange punches, Thai plum from Etim, lands a couple knees before Forte presses him to the cage. Forte gets the trip takedown, postures up with big punches as Etim ties him up in full guard. Forte postures up with more punches as Etim closes his guard. One minute to go. Round 1 – Touch gloves. Leg kick inside from Riddle, right hand from Mills. Riddle shoots for a single, takes a knee, lets go the single, presses Mills to the cage. Clinched, trading knees, they struggle in the clinch. Drops levels for the single, drives through for the takedown but Mills makes his way right back to his feet. Riddle stays on him pressing against the cage. Knee from Mills, Riddle backs out. Touch gloves. Left jab from Mills, high kick blocked. Riddle shoots for a single, turns the corner and gets Mills down but he pops right up, Riddle never lets go and presses him to the cage. Riddle backs out of the clinch, absorbs a huge leg kick inside from Mills. Another one. Riddle fires off a right hand to counter a big left from Mills. Nice punch exchange before Riddle drops levels and muscles Mills to the ground. Riddle with body shots from top control, half guard. Body shots from Riddle, forearm on the neck, drops an elbow or two before the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 for Riddle.
Round 2 – Touch gloves, left from Riddle, big leg kick from Mills, Riddle with his own leg kick, he shoots in for the single leg takedown. Mills uses his other leg to land a head kick AS HE’S BEING TAKEN DOWN! That was gnarly! But he’s now on his back and Riddle is in side control with Coach Robert Drysdale giving him instruction. Knees to the ribs from Riddle. Mills gets half guard control. Riddle gets back to side control. Big knees to the ribs of Mills. Riddle lands several right hands to the face. Mills locks up a leg with his legs but is getting beat up here. Riddle gets to side control for a second, before Mills locks up his leg again for half guard. Riddle moves to full mount, Mills gives up his back. Riddle gets both hooks in and looking for the choke with under a minute to go. Body triangle from Riddle. Lets it go and moves to mount. Body shots from Riddle, flattens him out. PMN has it 10-9 Riddle.
Round 3 – Touch gloves. Leg kick Mills. he looks for the takedown as Mills comes in swinging. Mills shrugs him off and unloads a big punch combo, leg kick. Right hook from Riddle to set up a single leg shot, presses Mills to the cage. Mills grabs Riddle’s leg and lifts it. Lets it go as Riddle stands up and presses Mills to the cage wall. Riddle drops down for the shot. Mills sprawls out as Riddle hangs on to his waist. Mills with a wizzer, back to the feet and Riddle stays right on him for the takedown putting Mills on his back. Mills gets full guard control. Riddle working the ground and pound. Big right elbow from Riddle. Now in half guard. Riddle staying busy with one minute to go. Riddle looking for a kimura but Mills sweeps him, postures up and lands a couple big punches. Mills stands up and the ref lets Riddle up. Smiling. Leg kick from Mills forces the shot from Riddle which in turn sounds the boo button from the crowd. Times up. PMN sees it 10-9 and 30-27 for Matt Riddle.

For one judge to score that fight for Che Mills can only be described as a hometown ruling. That’s insane. Fortunately for Riddle, he still got the win.
Ryan Jimmo vs. James Te Huna
Round 1 – Te Huna clinches up with underhoos right away, presses Jimmo to the cage. Ref warns for action. He separates them. Head kick from Jimmo drops Te Huna, he jumps on him inside guard and unleashes what can only be described as World War 3 and what is left is a bloody and battered Te Huna. Te Huna actually looked like he went out at one point and got woke back up — I could be wrong but Jimmo was landing some bombs, elbows and punches. Te Huna actually makes his way to his feet using the cage. He jumps on a guillotine and Jimmo obliges by putting him right back down on his back. Jimmo with the ground and pound. Te Huna throws up his legs for an armbar attempt. Jimmo defends. Now in half guard, then full guard, staying busy with elbows and hammerfists. Jimmo used a lot of energy trying to finish it earlier. Nice elbows from Te Huna off his back. Jimmo continues staying just busy enough not to get stood up. More elbows from Te Huna off his back. PMN has it 10-9 for Jimmo.
Round 2 – Te Huna seems full y recovered. High kick from Jimmo misses, lands a jab. Switching stances. Body kick from Jimmo. Te Huna clinches up for an inside trip attempt. Goes for a high crotch lift but can’t get Jimmo down. Jimmo presses Te Huna to the cage, tries for the inside trip takedown of his own. Body lock from Te Huna, picks Jimmo up for the slam. Te Huna in side control landing short elbows. Half the round down. Jimmo bucking up, but can’t get out of this bad position. He holds on to Te Huna’s neck as Te Huna continues dropping short elbows. Te Huna goes for a crucifix, moves to mount. Jimmo gets half guard, but is eating several elbows from Te Huna. Jimmo’s conditioning is being put to the test. Big elbows and punches from Te Huna as he postures up for power. Jimmo covering up in pure defense mode, grabs hold of Te Huna trying to stop the assault. One more big right from Te Huna, Jimmo throws an up kick. PMN has it 10-9 Te Huna.
Round 3 – Touch gloves. Left hook from Jimmo, leg kick Te Huna. Te Huna shoots in, Jimmo thwarts it and locks up a clinch, pressing Te Huna to the cage. Couple knees to the body from Te Huna. Jimmo looks for a single but lets go after tasting some leather. Te Huna unloads some knees to the body then lands a big elbow that causes Jimmo to scurry out from against the cage to the center. Te Huna comes at him swinging, Jimmo ties him up and presses him to the cage where they jocky for position. Te Huna with the body lock takedown, now on top dropping elbows from half guard. One and a half minutes to go. Te Huna continues his ground and pound. Jimmo seems to be talking to him, but needs to do more than talk because he’s losing this fight and is eating elbows and hammerfists and punches before the bell. Two more elbows from Te Huna for good measure and that’s it. PMN sees it 10-9 and 29-28 for Te Huna. — Round one could be seen as a 10-8 for Jimmo and if two judges gave him a 10-8 in that round, we will have a draw.

Gunnar Nelson vs. Jorge Santiago
Round 1 – Touch gloves. Santiago swings, Gunnar shoots in, stuffed. Right hand from Gunnar. Right from Jorge, then a big knee. Big right hand to follow. Brief clinch and knee to the body from Nelson, then a high kick that’s blocked. Jorge with same. Side kick to the body from Nelson, then a left hand straight, side kick to knee, switches stances. High kick from Jorge, clinch, knees to body from Jorge. Front kick from Nelson. Body kick. Nelson doesn’t cut weight by the way. He shoots in and puts Jorge down, takes top position in half guard. This is Gunnar’s home. Jorge also is a BJJ black belt, lands some hammerfists off his back. And gets to his feet. Gunnar lands a left as Jorge gets up. They square up. Side kick to the body from Gunnar. Switches stances. Right hand from Jorge. Gunnar keeping his hands VERY low. Leg kick from Gunnar. Switches stances again. Body kick from Gunnar. Left hand from Gunnar as he lunges in. Right hand from Jorge, clinch, knee from Gunnar. Presses Jorge to the cage. Knee from Jorge as he backs out. PMN sees it 10-9 for Gunnar.
Round 2 – This is such a huge test for Gunnar. Touches gloves. Left hand from Gunnar, two more punches, clinch, couple knees from Jorge, he slips as he backs out. Left hand from Jorge scores. Big left right left hook combo from Gunnar as he drops levels and puts Jorge down with a double leg. Gunnar on top in half guard looking to pass. Nice elbow from Gunnar. Nice left punches from Gunnar to the face. He postures up for more punches, elbow. Jorge gets full guard, hanging on with wrist control. Nice elbow from Gunnar as he postures up. Hammerfist from Jorge off his back. Full closed guard from Jorge. Gunnar stands up, kicks the thighs, lands a left hand as he lays in, another punch, Gunnar gets to side control finally. Knee to belly and full mount lightning quick. Half a minute to go. Big elbow from Gunnar, another, another, another, another and another before the bell. Great finish to the round from Gunnar Nelson. Round 3 – Touch gloves. Gunnar bouncing, misses a side kick. Jorge lunges in with a nice punch. Left from Jorge. Body kick from Gunnar. Question mark kick from Gunnar, right hand. Hands still down though. Clinch, knee from Jorge as he presses Gunnar to cage, more knees. Big elbow from Gunnar as Jorge backs up. Body kick from Jorge, he wings some wild punches. Left hand from Gunnar. Leg kick from Jorge. Gunnar with a leg kick. Right hand from Jorge snaps Gunnar’s head back. Big right uppercut from Gunnar, they exchange punches, Gunnar lands a big left uppercut. Jorge lands a right and Gunnar lands another. Clinch against the cage. They square up in the center now, Left hand and a big uppercut from Gunnar. Jorge looks very tired and flails a couple punches. Right elbow scores for Jorge. Half a minute to go. Jorge lands a left and Gunnar lands a right, clinch, knees. Right from Jorge, left, right, he backs Gunnar to the cage, who still has his hands down and Jorge rocks him a huge right hand right before the bell, Gunnar’s knees buckle but the bell sounds and the ref steps in. Great fight and great round. PMN still has the round 10-9 for Gunnar and the fight 30-27 for Gunnar. Huge win for the Icelander. He has to — listen– HAS TO correct that bad habit of keeping his hands down. It almost got him knocked out and eventually will.

Cyrille Diabate vs. Jimi Manuwa
Round 1 – Big leg kick inside for Manuwa. Again. Manuwa presses him to the cage. Diabate turns him around for some knees to the thigh and body. Manuwa catches the leg and dumps him on his back. Manuwa in side control now. Diabate gets half guard, trying to snake his way into a sweep. Gets under the leg of Manuwa but Manuwa defending, but the Snake gets to his feet. Knee from Manuwa on the way up, then a right elbow to the face as he presses on Diabate to the cage. Knee from Manuwa as he backs out. High kick, blocked. Knee from Diabate, again. Manuwa throws him down. Lets him up. Leaping left hook from Manuwa. Diabate checks a leg kick. Big inside leg kick for Manuwa, then a side kick to the body. Big knee and elbow from the Snake as Manuwa comes in swinging, clinch, elbow from Manuwa, knee from Snake, left hook and leg kick from Manuwa. Clinch, huge knee to the gut from the Snake. Manuwa uses this to put him on his back though. Manuwa postures up with punches and time is up. PMN has it 10-9 Manuwa.
Cyrille Diabate is unable to continue due to a leg injury and the bout is called before round two starts. Diabate limping badly and unable to walk without help.

They separate and, body shot and a big uppercut from Swanson rocks Poirier, a jumping knee to the body, then a high kick from Swanson. Poirier gets the takedown after eating some heavy shots there. Under a minute to go. Poirier with body shots inside full guard. Swanson gets to his feet, Poirier has one leg, Swanson jumps with the other for a knee strike to the body, Poirer lets the other leg go, then an overhand right from Swanson before the bell. Poirier teeing off on him now landing a couple nice shots on the chin and Cub gets a big takedown for the first time in the fight. Hammerfist and punches from Cub. Cub takes Poirier’s back, one hook in. Poirier gets to his feet with Cub still on him, both hooks in now with under two minutes to go. Poirier trying to shake him off. Poirier gets the takedown but Swanson rolls him over and ends up on top. Poirier gets to his feet but Swanson lands some shots as he gets up. They trade shots, clinch up and Swanson gets him down with a head and arm judo throw. Holding the arm of Barao, wrist control, trying to set something up. McDonald kicks him back and explodes to the feet. Leaping left hook misses. Overhand right from McDonald. Left counter from McDonald, and a right. Counter right, left from Barao as McDonald charges in. Leg kick from Barao. Left from McDonald. Barao shoots, stuffed. Cheers from the crowd. Left counter from Barao countering McDonald’s charge. Nice straight left from McDonald catches Barao coming in. Barao clinches up and McDonald lands several short rights with the last one buckling Barao. Barao shoots and presses him to the cage, lands several left hands a knee. Barao muscles him to the ground. Now inside full guard. Barao finishes the round on top. PMN sees it 10-9 for McDonald.

Right hand from Barao, McDonald dodges the left to follow. McDonald takes a poke in the eye and he gets a minute to recover. One two from McDonald and Barao scores with a right left as he backs up. Barao lunges in with a punch combo, grabs a single, body lock, knee, and then muscles McDonald down into side control. McDonald quickly muscles his way to his feet as Barao tries to mount. Barao attempts to clinch, right hook from McDonald. Another right from McDonald and Barao scores with a right as well, to the body. Right counter from Barao. Uppercut from McDonald.
