vitor-belfort-133It looks as though Vitor Belfort will be welcoming former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold to the UFC at an event that will take place in Brazil later this year.

UFC officials made the announcement yesterday, and the event could take place in April or May. No date or venue has been booked at this time.

Belfort is coming off the highlight reel KO win over Michael Bisping in his last outing. Belfort has won three of his last four bouts with the loss coming as a light heavyweight against Jon Jones.

Rockhold (10-1) defended his Strikeforce middleweight title for the final time with a unanimous decision win over Tim Kennedy in July 2012. He has been on the shelf ever since, but holds notable wins over Ronaldo “Jacare’ Souza and UFC veteran Keith Jardine.
