On February 16, at Marathon Music Works in Nashville, TN, V3Fights will welcome bantamweight contender, Ronnie Lawrence, to the cage. Lawrence fights out of Nemesis MMA and holds a 10-1 record. He’s not only looking to become V3’s next bantamweight champion, but is also looking forward to being the first person to defeat undefeated champion, Marquese Branch.

Lawrence got started in MMA when he was lifting weights one day at the gym. His gym had martial arts and they asked him to give it a try. They did mostly kung-fu, but it was there that he learned that he was an exceptional striker. From there, that led him to MMA.

Lawrence may be the most talented striker in the 135 lb division, and he knows that is where he has the advantage in this championship fight: “I think his striking is sloppy. He relies too much on strength and my technique will eventually prevail. I expect to find my range and pick him apart. I feel good about this fight. I feel calm, cool, and collected. I’m always confident in myself and my coaches and how I train and who I train with. This fight can go anywhere, but I’m a mixed martial artist. I’m a good wrestler, grappler, and a well- known striker. Nothing will phase me. I have great cardio and will keep coming till the bell rings. I’ve watched his videos. He’s athletic, but I’m a student of the game. He doesn’t understand the talent I possess. I think his advantages are pressure and wrestling, but that seems to be all he does,” states Lawrence.
