jim millerA new bout has been added to the UFC 159 card as Jim Miller (22-4) faces Pat Healy (29-16) in a lightweight matchup. The event is set to take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J, on April. 27.

UFC officials recently announced the new fight.

UFC 159 will feature a headline bout between current UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones and challenger Chael Sonnen. The main card will air LIVE on PPV with the prelims expected to air on FX and Facebook.

Jim Miller last fought at UFC 155 in December, where he scored a unanimous decision victory over Joe Lauzon in a bout which earned “Fight of the Night” honors. Prior to that he dropped a second round submission loss against Nate Diaz at UFC on FOX 3 in May 2012. Miller now has the chance to get back into title contention with a big win over Healy.

Pat Healy is currently riding a six fight winning streak, most recently defeating Kurt Holobaugh via unanimous decision at “Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine” earlier this month. Prior to that he picked up notable victories over Lyle Beerbohm, Eric Wisely, Maximo Blanco, Caros Fodor and Mizuto Hirota during 2011/2012. Pat will no doubt look to make a statement by defeating Miller as he crosses over to the UFC roster.
