Alexander “The Tiger” Sarnavskiy (21-1) enters the Bellator Season 8 lightweight tournament Thursday as he takes on Thiago Michel (10-3) at Bellator 87 airing LIVE on Spike TV from Mount Pleasant, Mich.
Sarnavskiy was 20-0 when he made his Bellator debut in October of last year, dropping a split decision to UFC veteran Rich Clementi in the Season 7 lightweight tournament quarterfinals. He returned to Bellator in November winning a unanimous decision over Tony Hervey and ultimately another shot in the Bellator tournament.
ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) recently spoke with Sarnavskiy about his loss to Clementi and if it took some of the pressure off of being undefeated for so long. He shared his thoughts on Thiago Michel and how he sees the fight playing out. Sarnavskiy also talked about his decision to sign with Bellator over the UFC and gave us some insight into his background and how he started in MMA.
