The UFC on FOX 6: Johnson vs. Dodson event that’s set for January 26th in Chicago has two new bouts according to UFC officials.

A light heavyweight bout between Ryan Bader and Vladimir Matyushenko, and a welterweight bout between David Mitchell and Simeon Thoresen have been verbally agreed upon.

Bader (14-3) is coming off the devastating KO loss to Lyoto Machida at the UFC on FOX 4 event in August. Bader was riding a two fight winning streak going into that fight, including a unanimous decision win over former champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

Matyushenko (26-6) is coming off a TKO loss at the hands of Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 141. Matyushenko was also riding a two fight winning streak going into his last match. Both Bader and Matyushenko have losses to current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Mitchell (11-2) has suffered back-to-back losses in the UFC after entering the promotion undefeated. He was last seen in action losing a unanimous decision to Paulo Thiago at UFC 134.

Thoresen (17-3-1) is coming off a KO loss at UFC 152 against Seth Baczynski. Thoresen won his octagon debut against Besam Yousef in April 2012.

UFC on FOX 6 will take place at the United Center and will be headlined by the UFC flyweight title fight between the champion Demetrious Johnson and TUF winner John Dodson.
