Marcus LeVesseur

TUF Live winner Mike Chiesa has pulled out of his UFC on FOX 5 bout with Marcus LeVesseur due to illness according to UFC officials. Chiesa was originally scheduled to face Rafaello Oliveria, but Oliveria was replaced with LeVesseur after breaking his hand.

LeVesseur will not be given another opponent and the bout will be scrap altogether, though it’s possible that it could be moved to a future event. The bout was part of the preliminary portion on the card which was set to air on the FX channel, which would have been a good amount of exposure for both fighters. Chiesa (8-0) has not competed since the TUF Live Finale where he submitted Al Iaquinta via first round rear naked choke.

LeVesseur (22-6) was coming off a unanimous decision win over MMA veteran Carlo Prater at the UFC on FX 5 event.
