King of the Cage, Inc. (KOTC) and MAVTV have announced a multi-year North American weekly television deal. KOTC is a worldwide MMA promotion which has offered over 400 live events since it was founded in 1999. The deal gives MAVTV the exclusive rights for broadcasting, a new two hour KOTC event every Wednesday night (7pm PST, 10pm EST) for the next five years.

KOTC’s founder, Terry Trebilcock, states “It’s an honor to be associated with MAVTV. A 260 event, weekly deal, is unheard of in a sport this new. It not only will accelerate the progress of KOTC, but MMA as a whole.”

Lucas Oil Motorsports recently acquired MAVTV. Jason Patinson, the current Programming Director for MAVTV, stated, “We are heavily committed to making both, KOTC and MAVTV, household names.”

The deal struck also allows MAVTV access to some of KOTC’s library. This includes a one hour weekly broadcast of their newest show, “Greatest Knockouts,” offering a compilation of 8-10 staggering knockouts. They will also have access to the “Classic Series” which contains 100 of the greatest fights of KOTC’s history by some of the biggest MMA legends and fighters of all time. The deal also promises at least four live broadcasts a year and a monthly MMA talk show, which debuted on Friday, September 21 from the River Spirit Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The next broadcast is scheduled for Thursday, December 20 from the San Manuel Casino in Highland, California.
